Our Story

Katie and Billy met by happenstance when they both swiped right the Bumble dating app towards the end of summer 2023. Billy was at Ottertail Lake in the summer while Katie lived in Fargo. As a gentleman, Billy picked Katie up for their first date to Doolittle’s Woodfire Grill where they closed the place down, lost in conversation. Two dates in one week showed promise, but it was love at first boop – when Katie met Kimber the corgi that Katie knew there was something magical about Billy. Even though at the end of the summer they knew Billy would head back to Minot, ND, they chose long distance dating. Since the start of the relationship, there were many adventures and holidays shared with family and friends; while moving three times and building a new home. A couple of months after moving into their house, Billy proposed during family photos with the help of their familes. Now, on their third anniversary, they are exchanging vows and celebrating happily ever after with all their family and friends.
